Dog Guard® offers different types of transmitters that are designed for outdoor and indoor uses. The transmitters are listed below:
The RT-2 room transmitter is a small/versatile device that creates a 360° containment zone with a 6' radius and 12' diameter, and is designed for containing pets in or restraining them from designated areas or rooms inside a home or apartment, and can even be used for traveling with your pet.
The T-4 transmitter features user-friendly lights to let you know that the transmitter is working properly. The GREEN LIGHT serves as a power light and surge indicator. If there is a power surge, it will flash with an audible alarm.
Our “T-4” transmitter is fully adjustable by the pet owner, reducing the need and cost for a technician to adjust it. The width of the “correction zone” can be adjusted from a typical 3 to 5 feet on each side of the buried signal wire to as wide as is desired. If your transmitter is configured to create a 4 foot zone on each side of the wire, when your dog enters the correction zone s/he will hear an auditory signal that will persist as long as your pet is within the correction zone, along with a correction stimulus of 0% to 100% (as configured by the pet owner) for the first 2 feet of the correction zone. Then, upon crossing the midpoint of the correction zone, the correction stimulus will automatically go to 100% for the 2nd 2 feet of the correction zone.
Dog Guard® offers four different types of receivers that are designed to contain small to large-sized dogs, where the maximum intensity of the correction signal delivered by the receiver increases with the weight specifications for each receiver. We also have “shunts” that reduce the correction of a collar in case your dog needs a correction stimulus that is somewhere between two of the collars listed below. So if you have a puppy that will grow up to be very big, using various shunts you can have your puppy trained using just a single receiver without over correcting, then removing shunts and increasing the maximum intensity of the correction stimulus as the puppy grows.
This is the DG922XT with Light. The advantage with this receiver is the light will flash red every 8 seconds (approximately) when the useful life of the battery has been reached. This gives the customer the full use of each battery.
The DG922XT receiver is designed to handle the “medium to stubborn and tough-to-train” dogs. It works well with dogs that are runners such as Huskies, Labs and hunting dogs.
The 5000 receiver is designed to handle “small, timid, passive and up to medium sized” dogs. (10 to 65 pounds)
The Mini Rechargeable receiver has a rechargeable battery and is designed to contain “tiny pet” weighting 1 to 10 pounds.
Keep your dog safe at home with fresh batteries every 3-4 months
Dog Guard Batteries are tack welded and available in 6 volt 357 Silver oxide. This battery is recommend for use in the XT, 5000 receivers. Dog Guard batteries are tack welded cells, that keep the cells from expanding in the receiver. This assures that the cells are constantly in tact with each other.
Button batteries are available in 6 Volt Lithium for the Micro Receivers only. Your Dog Guard professional dealer will set you up with the correct battery for your equipment.
Protect or Disconnect Circuitry – automatically disconnects the transmitter in case of a rare catastrophic surge or direct lightning strike. Protects against normal AC power surges and lightning.
Space Saving Design – low profile and better balance and stability. Power Indicator Light – easy to see that power is on. Reduces the Risk of System Failure – your pet will continue to be contained. Better Loop Connectors – easier to attach the loop wires to the unit. Increased Surge Current Ratings – protector has a larger capacity to dissipate surges. (fig. not actual size)
NEWEST LINE OF CHEW PROTECTORS Easy snap on, slide off design, sleeker fit and H.D. Polymer material makes the NEW chew protector tougher and protects the receiver from dog chews, rub-throughs and other damage. Save yourself aggravation, downtime and money by using chew protectors on your receivers.
Remote Strips are designed for those hard to contain pets. They do not increase the stimulation that the pet receives; but spreads the stimulation out to the neck and ear area of the pet.
